Part of the world-renowned Cavendish Laboratory, and open to university and industry researchers, CORDE provides access to our equipment, resources and knowledge base – giving you the chance to conduct research using facilities and expertise unique to Cambridge.

We are currently offering a limited set of CORDE capabilities in advance of our full launch in 2025, after the Department of Physics has moved into the newly built Ray Dolby Centre.

CORDE is a national facility supported by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). Read a welcome from our Director, Prof. Andy Jardine.
