Characterisation

The CORDE Characterisation Facilities provide state-of-the-art characterisation capabilities, with the breadth of tooling and flexibility to support cutting-edge research.

The CORDE Characterisation Facility is pleased to be able to offer facilities in “Service” and “User” Mode:

  • You can commission a piece of work to be performed by the team of instrument scientists, providing your own samples, working with the team to source them for you or working with our nanofabrication capabilities to produce them.
  • Or we can provide the facilities for you to come and use the equipment in person, we will provide training and our team will support your needs from the concept of the proposal through to the analysis of the data.

As the characterisation capabilities grow, we offer the capacity for a “sample focussed” approach, where we can identify the right tool or method, and use multiple different approaches to analyse the sample – do get in touch to explore what we can do.

Characterisation capabilities are coming online from June 2024 and will be ramping up to our full launch in the Ray Dolby Centre in 2025, so check back on what’s the latest we are offering!
